The fruit can reach nearly twice the size of standard Luc's Garcinia and up to four times the size of an Achachairú. As the name suggests, both the skin and flesh develop a beautiful orange hue rather than the typical yellow found in most selections. The flavor is intense and complex—predominantly sweet with a bright, balancing tartness. The finest fruits can develop subtle caramel-like notes that add depth and richness to the eating experience.
Unlike standard yellow forms, which often develop very thin skin when fully ripe, 'Jumbo Orangey' retains a thicker, firmer skin more reminiscent of Achachairú.
